I got one Renault Can Clip from obdtool.co.uk, when I use it, I always get an error message reading: No Sensor Detected, check the sensor connections and ensure that the supply to the vehicle is correct, then try again.

Solution:
Finally I got answer from their engineer. There are two options to do:

1) install IE8,

2) install older version.

Renault CAN CLIP ISO no communication error fixed

Some Renault CAN CLIP diagnostic tool users reported that they had ISO communication error when using the device. Here is the proper solution provided. 

Problem:

1) When I connect the Renault CAN Clip to the OBD diagnostic socket and with PC via USB port, it gave me just 2 indicators, but the green ISO indicator does not flash, and no communication with the probe. 

2) I first installed the CAN CLIP software on my Dell Win XP SP3 laptop, Software installation went ok, so did registration. Then I connected Can Clip interface to laptop and to car. Computer found USB device and driver were installed. Then second USB device and again, driver were installed. Then no more USB devices were found. I tried all other USB ports in laptop with same result. I uninstalled Can Clip software and re-installed it on another laptop with same result.

Possible reason:

1)Driver issue 

2)Hardware problem 

Solution:

1) Driver issue 

You need to copy all the CAN CLIP drivers in a directory.

JCAEIso.sys

JCAECI.sys

jcaeci.inf

JCAECan.sys

drvbck.pdb

After that allow the hardware wizard to find these automatically. You have to do it for each driver. (About 4-5 times). When you plug your probe, do you hear a noise like "ding dong" If the driver has not been fully installed, the only read light flashes. 

Follow the can clip v151 software installation video to install the software correctly:

During this procedure make sure your hardware connected to OBD socket of a car.

If these procedures do not work, your Renault CAN CLIP device is defected. 

2)Hardware issue 

You probably have bad flash chip or bad soldering, or bad oscillator, or, you name it of your clone Renault CAN CLIP. 

There is one 32K oscillator on each of the CAN and ISO firmware boards.

Some Renault CAN CLIP users have tested the fault where the green ISO LED would not light and the CLIP cable would not communicate with the vehicle. Changing this oscillator fixed the problem. They sell for around $4 on Ebay.

(Solved) Renault Trafic 2012 get engine management light on

Car model and year:

Renault Trafic 2012, 2.0 DCI m9r engine.I purchased it from auction damaged (on the side a little on the front) ex company fleet vehicle onon 87k miles.

Car trouble:

On the dash which says CHECK INJECTION! And CHECK EMISSIONS! With engine management light on. If i erase the codes they come back. The injection one does pretty quickly but the emissions one takes a few minutes more.

Got fault code using Renault CAN clip V151

F064 (engine immob light circuit??)

DF1360 (EGR coolant pump 2 control circuit)

DF1359 (FIRST EGR WATER PUMP CONTROL CIRCUIT)

My analysis and speculation

Van had burst its rad in the collision so it had lost all its coolant. I was worried the driver at the time drove it on a empty coolant damaging HG and allowing water to gush into the egr cooler...etc..etc. But looking at when the fault occurred the driver seems to have driven just 2KM after the fault arised. The van has since only done that 2km. I've since fixed the radiator and as i say runs perfectly no other issues other than the damn errors on the dash.

Solution:

Clean the EGR and also the pipe that connects to it at 87k its probably due a clean. 

Get Renault CAN Clip V151 to fix airbag light

Renault Clio had been airbag on for about 6 months, but mot next week meant I had to sort this one out. Tried the under seat cable trick, no joy. Checked the ECU and there was some sign of liquid but not in the ECU itself. Took it to a garage for diagnosis and they use Renault Can Clip V151 cleared the faults (25 quid), only 2 errors remaining were these:

B1036: passenger side impact sensor

B1035: driver side impact sensor

Turns out this is just a little plastic unit bolted underneath the seat (directly below door) with a cable connected. I went to the scrappy and got 2 of these (10 quid each), replaced old with new in 10 minutes (unhooked battery first) and the lights went out straight away, no need to do a further reset or anything.

My advice here would be if sorting the cables under the seat doesnt fix this issue, get it diagnosed. In my case I was ready to buy a whole new ECU, turns out that wouldn’t have helped at all.
